… and kind of a Postface, too
Unlike the other posts, this first one isn’t a part of the ePortfolio. You can tell by all the contractions I’m using, because according to APA7 (Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition) apostrophes to connect words aren’t allowed.
I started this post on January 18, 2024, well over a year after my advisor signed off on the following collection. Four or five days before then, I began uploading and lightly editing the 14 competency essays and their Introduction and Conclusion. (See: the Affirmation at the very end, at point 3. where I said I would remove mentions that could lead to the identity of individuals or institutions.)
I bought the domain vidayeung.com earliest in December, 2022… and did nothing. That WordPress-edit window remained opened on my computer until now. A joke I had typed into the initial post’s byline -“hire her, she’s poor”, or something equally dingus-worthy- would show up at the top of a Google general search for my name for most of 2023.
I formerly intended to be a law librarian since applying to San Jose State University’s (SJSU) Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program in late-Fall of 2019. So towards the end in September 2022, when a regular at my old job offered me an entry-level opportunity at her law firm, I took the chance to learn about the legal world.
With my next job in hand, and seriously hungover from grad school, I took a month off from this ePortfolio… then another… until other emerging goals jockeyed this blog site out of priority until New Years 2024.
To keep the Competency essays showing from A-O, I reverse-uploaded them, and have provided reminders at the end to click ‘previous post’ for the following post. I haven’t given links to all the evidence, because WordPress only allows me so many, and some have private(-ish) information. Please communicate with me on LinkedIn if you would like to view evidence not provided.
